Show Selection Scorer
"Which shows should we do next year?" is usually decided by whoever argues loudest. This scorer makes the argument explicit: agree on what matters and how much, rate each candidate, and the ranking follows from your own numbers.
What matters to you
Set each criterion's weight (0 drops it from scoring). Rename any label to match how your team talks.
Add two or more shows you're choosing between. You rate them; the scorer just keeps the maths honest.
How the score works
Each candidate's score is the weighted average of your 1–5 ratings, shown as a percentage of the maximum: a show rated 5 on everything scores 100%. Set a criterion's weight to 0 to drop it; rename any criterion to match how your team talks about shows. Until every cell is rated, a candidate is scored only on the criteria you've filled in — so partially rated shows aren't punished, but the comparison isn't fair until the grid is complete.
Where to get the inputs
- Audience fit and seniority — the organizer's exhibitor prospectus states who attends; walking the show once as an attendee beats any brochure.
- Cost — build your number with the ROI calculator; rate the show on cost for what you get, not cheapness.
- Timing — check the seasonality sheet for when your industry's calendar peaks, and run the finalists through the clash checker before you commit.
- Location — venue pages carry airport, transit and hotel facts from the venue's own site.
Everything you type lives in the share link, not on our servers — copy it into the meeting invite and the whole team sees the same matrix. Find candidates on the calendar or by industry from the Planning Hub.
