Frankfurt Book Fair 2027

Frankfurt Book Fair is a trade fair for books and rights, hosting thousands of exhibitors and industry professionals annually.

Frankfurt Book Fair 2027

Frankfurter Buchmesse returns to the Frankfurt exhibition grounds on 6–10 October 2027, with Chile as Guest of Honour.

What it is

The organiser, Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH, describes the fair as a venue for printed and digital content where publishing professionals meet partners from technology and the creative industries, including film and games. It runs a professional programme for the trade and a public events programme with authors and TV personalities.

The organiser reported 4,000 exhibitors, 236,000 visitors and 3,800 events for the 2026 fair, which introduced a new hall concept.

Planning ahead

• Guest of Honour. Each year features a country: Chile in 2027 and Romania in 2028.
• Future dates. The organiser has already published 11–15 October 2028, 10–14 October 2029 and 9–13 October 2030.
• App and hall plan. The Frankfurter Buchmesse app carries the exhibitor list, events, a personal calendar and the interactive hall plan.
• Getting there. The exhibition grounds are central and reachable by bus, train, plane or car; the organiser publishes a fair guide covering parking, ATMs and book sales, plus accessibility information.
• Year-round. A media library keeps highlights from past fairs available for trade and private visitors.
