What it is

Access MBA is Advent Group's student-recruitment brand: a touring series of one-to-one events where prospective MBA applicants meet business-school admissions directors face to face. The Atlanta stop is a single Saturday.

Participating schools include Emory's Goizueta Business School, Georgia Tech Scheller, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, UGA Terry, IE University and IESE. Before the event, the organizer builds each attendee's schedule of school meetings from their profile and preferences.

Who can attend, and the day's schedule

Registration is free, and the organizer recommends signing up early to secure school meetings. Attendees need a bachelor's degree and at least one to two years of work experience.

• 10:00 AM: welcome desk opens
• 10:30–11:00 AM: "Empowering Women: Navigating the MBA Journey" panel
• 11:00 AM–2:15 PM: small-group meetings with business schools (uploading a resume or LinkedIn profile is recommended)
• 12:40–1:00 PM: presentation by Emory University's Goizueta Business School

Attendees who complete at least three one-to-one meetings qualify for partner perks such as resume reviews and test-prep offers.

The fall tour also stops in Dallas (September 24), Charlotte (September 28), Washington DC (September 30), Philadelphia (October 1), New York City (October 3), Boston (October 5), Chicago (October 8) and Columbus (October 14). It then moves to Canada in November: Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
