Ace 2027

ACE is the American Water Works Association's Annual Conference & Expo, held each June for drinking-water professionals, with technical education sessions, an exhibit hall and competitions. It moves to a different North American city each year.

ACE, the AWWA Annual Conference & Expo, runs June 13–16, 2027 in San Diego.

What it is

The American Water Works Association runs ACE each June for professionals across the drinking-water sector. AWWA bills it as "North America's largest annual drinking water conference." It combines technical education sessions, an exhibit hall where suppliers show new products and technologies, and a set of competitions: pipe tapping, Top Ops, Hydrant Hysteria, the meter challenge and the tap water taste test. At ACE26, the exhibit hall also housed an Innovation Hub, poster sessions and a job and education fair.

Continuing education

AWWA offers Certificates of Completion for attending ACE sessions. Engineers can use them for PDHs and licensed operators for CEUs.

At ACE26, attendees earned them by scanning their badges on entering and leaving each session, and AWWA applied to many state and provincial operator agencies for pre-approval. Whether credit is accepted is up to each licensing agency.

Planning ahead

• AWWA says registration for ACE27 opens in December 2026, and hotel reservations open in January 2027.
• Connections Housing, Inc. is the only official housing company. AWWA warns that other hotel solicitors should be treated as fraudulent.
• The organizer provides visa invitation letters for attendees who intend to register.
