BrickFair LEGO Fan Expo 2027

BrickFair is a touring LEGO fan expo run by adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs). Its shows combine fan-built creations (MOCs) and their builders with LEGO vendors, group builds and games. The organizer says it is run by fans, for fans, and is not affiliated with The LEGO Group.

BrickFair LEGO Fan Expo runs April 3–4, 2027 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, Richmond.

What it is

BrickFair is a LEGO fan expo organized by adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs). In the organizer's words, it is "run by fans, for fans", and it is not affiliated with The LEGO Group. The main attraction is MOCs ("My Own Creation"): fan-built models by registered exhibitors, with the chance to meet the builders and learn their techniques.

Vendors sell all sorts of LEGO goods, and the floor also has group builds, bingo, midway-style games and other activities. The Richmond show is billed on the ticket page as BrickFair RICH 2027.

Visiting the Richmond show

• Pace: the show is free-roaming. The organizer suggests allowing two hours or more to see everything.
• Tickets: tickets bought online cost less than tickets at the door. Online sales close before the show, and cashiers sell tickets at the door. Children 3 and under do not need a ticket.
• Re-entry: a public ticket is for one day. Get a hand-stamp at the exit if you want to come back the same day.
• Strollers and food: strollers are not allowed. The venue contract prohibits outside food, and the convention center has an on-site cafeteria.
• Access: the whole show is on one floor with wheelchair-friendly aisles. The floors are concrete, so wear comfortable shoes.
• Payment: BrickFair takes cards, cash and checks, and most vendors accept credit cards.
• Your own LEGO: public visitors should not bring LEGO models. Photography is encouraged.

Exhibiting, and the other stop on the tour

Builders who want to show their work register as exhibitors, which is separate from public admission. Exhibitors get four days of access instead of one, along with exhibitor games and events, seminars and a goodie bag. BrickFair's other scheduled stop is Oaks, PA, on November 7–8, 2026.
