The Eastern Canadian Fisheries Exposition is a biennial commercial fishing show that draws people from throughout the Maritimes and beyond to see the latest gear, technology and innovations in commercial fishing. It is produced by Marketplace Events.

What it is

The organizer bills the show as Canada's longest-running commercial fishing show. It is held every two years and draws people from throughout the Maritimes and beyond.

Exhibitors bring commercial fishing gear, technology and marine-sector innovations, and the organizer pitches the show as a place to upgrade equipment before fishing season. It has been, in the organizer's words, "a trusted buying venue for over 30 years." Marketplace Events produces the show.

Registration and badges

Entry works on a badge system:

• The badge is your ticket. It carries a QR code that exhibitors scan so they can follow up after the show.
• You register once, and the badge gets you in on both days.
• Registration is for anyone 18 or older, whether or not you attend with a company. Unemployed youth do not need to register and can come in with an adult.
• Pre-registered attendees get a separate check-in line to print their badges and skip the box office. Bring your confirmation email or a printout.
