What it is

MIP Cancún is RX's television and content market for Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. The organizer calls it "The Go-to Hub for IP development, Funding, and Monetization" for the region. The market is built around meetings.

Buyers, commissioners, co-producers, creators, platforms, brands and agencies meet mainly through pre-arranged meetings, alongside a conference program and networking events. It belongs to the same MIP portfolio as MIP London, MIPCOM Cannes, MIPJUNIOR and MIP Africa.

Ways to take part

The organizer offers four ways to take part:

• Content Market: an all-inclusive package that connects international distributors with LatAm and U.S. Hispanic buyers through curated, pre-arranged 1-to-1 meetings
• Co-Production Market: for projects in development, combining 1-to-1 meetings, a Co-Production Bootcamp and masterclasses
• 3-Day Networking Pass: covers the conference program, the networking platform and events
• PODs: dedicated meeting spaces for service providers, tech companies, national pavilions and consulting firms

Program highlights

The first day (Tuesday, November 17) includes the Beyond Streaming Summit, which covers social video, YouTube, FAST, AVOD, CTV and vertical formats. Later days bring MIP Headliner sessions on the creator economy and microdramas, plus the MIP CANCUN Fiction Pitch on Thursday, November 19. The organizer has also announced a BrandStory Hub for brand partnerships and a Japan Pavilion.

Practical notes

The market takes place inside the Moon Palace resort. Children under 18 are not allowed except in "exceptional" circumstances.

Delegates without the all-inclusive package, or staying before or after the market, book directly with the resort. The organizer notes that U.S. dollars are widely accepted at Moon Palace.
