Overland Expo East 2026

Overland Expo East is the Virginia event of Emerald's Overland Expo series. It combines a trade show of overland vehicle, camping and adventure-motorcycle gear with hands-on classes, roundtables and on-site festival-style camping for overland travelers.

Overland Expo East runs October 23–25, 2026 in Arrington.

What it is

This is the Virginia stop of Overland Expo, which Emerald X bills as "the premier overlanding event series in the world". It combines hands-on classes with what the organizer calls "a professional-level trade show" of camping, vehicle and motorcycle equipment. The homepage lists "200+ exhibitors of Overland, Adventure Travel, Outdoor, Camping & Motorcycle Gear & Equipment." Classes run from beginner to advanced and cover subjects from wilderness first aid to working on the road with Starlink to winching and recovery.

Overland Expo Training will not run at East in 2026, only sponsored and exhibitor ride-and-drives; the organizer points people who want training to its Pacific Northwest event. The series also holds events in Costa Mesa, CA; Flagstaff, AZ; Redmond, OR; and Brighton, CO. East is the organizer's last event of the year.

Hours and evenings

• Friday: 9am–5pm
• Saturday: 9am–5pm
• Sunday: 9am–3pm (short last day)

On Friday and Saturday, a happy hour runs from 5 to 7pm. Friday night has a film festival from 7 to 9pm, and Saturday night has the Overland Expo Foundation charity raffle.

Tickets and camping

• All tickets must be bought online in advance.
• Day and weekend passes do not include camping. Camping packages, for a vehicle or a motorcycle, include primitive festival-style camping from Thursday morning to Monday morning. They are limited, and some premium packages have already sold out.
• The campground has no hookups for electricity or water. RVs, travel trailers and Class A or Class C motorhomes are not allowed.
• Parking is paid per vehicle per day, at the gate.
• Class sign-up opens in the Overland Expo app about two weeks before the show, and you can also walk up to classes.
