Rock 'n' Roll Arizona 2027

Rock 'n' Roll Arizona is a January race weekend in the IRONMAN Group's Rock 'n' Roll Running Series, on a tri-city course through Tempe, Scottsdale and Phoenix. It offers half marathon, 10K and 5K races and a free, public Health & Fitness Expo where runners collect race packets.

Rock 'n' Roll Arizona runs January 16–17, 2027 in Tempe.

What it is

Rock 'n' Roll Arizona is a race weekend in the Rock 'n' Roll Running Series. The organizer calls it a tri-city tour through Tempe, Scottsdale and Phoenix, with live bands and DJs along the course. It offers half marathon, 10K, 5K and KiDS ROCK distances.

For anyone who is not running, the Health & Fitness Expo is the part to know about. It is free and open to the public and has running technology, fitness apparel, health and nutrition information and interactive displays. Every runner must go to the expo to collect their race number, gear bag and t-shirt.

Expo and race schedule

The expo is at Tempe Beach Park and opens the day before the race weekend:

• Friday, January 15: 1 PM – 7 PM
• Saturday, January 16: 10 AM – 5 PM

Races:

• Saturday, January 16: 5K at 8 AM, Mill Ave Bridge northbound
• Sunday, January 17: 10K at 7:00 AM, then the half marathon from S. Mill Ave at 3rd Street; post-race entertainment at Tempe Beach Park from 8:30 AM

The half marathon has a four-hour time limit and finishes on W. Rio Salado Pkwy by Tempe Beach Park. The organizer notes that times and courses are subject to change.
