Saltwater Sportfishing Show 2027

The Saltwater Sportfishing Show is an annual winter show for Pacific Northwest ocean anglers at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem. It has tackle, boats, guides and destinations on the floor, plus a seminar series. It is run by the non-profit Oregon Coalition for Educating ANglers (OCEAN).

Saltwater Sportfishing Show runs February 27–28, 2027 at Oregon State Fairgrounds, Salem.

What it is

This is a two-day show for Pacific Northwest ocean anglers. The organizer bills it as "the Pacific Northwest's Premier Saltwater Fishing Event." The main hall has exhibitors for tackle, electronics, destinations and outdoor products, and a second hall holds the boat showcase and fishing guides. It is run by the Oregon Coalition for Educating ANglers (OCEAN), a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

OCEAN grew out of a group of anglers who met in Newport, Oregon, and was incorporated to educate marine anglers and support sustainable marine fisheries. The show has been at the Oregon State Fairgrounds since 2012.

• Columbia Hall: the boat showcase, guides, Kids' Corner, angler education and dockside demonstrations
• Cascade Hall: the seminars

The seminar series features charter captains, anglers, conservation leaders and industry experts; the 2027 lineup had not been posted yet. Kids' Corner covers fishing and boating safety and fish identification, and children can pick up a scavenger hunt there. The show also runs raffles and an auction.
