ACSM Annual Meeting 2027 in Indianapolis

The 2027 ACSM Annual Meeting runs Tuesday, June 1 to Friday, June 4, 2027, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, the home city of the American College of Sports Medicine.

What it is

The Annual Meeting is the American College of Sports Medicine's yearly scientific meeting for sports medicine and exercise science. The program is organised by area of interest (applied science, basic science, medicine, and integrative sessions), and topical categories run from fitness assessment, exercise training and sport science to cardiovascular, renal, immune and respiratory physiology, and skeletal muscle, bone and connective tissue. The 2027 spotlight theme is "Play, Performance, Prevention to Enhance the Healthspan", on how physical activity fits into the primary and secondary prevention of chronic disease.

Session formats

Symposia and scholarly debates run as 90-minute sessions: in-depth lectures on research and clinical practice, or structured debates between two presenters with a moderator.
Clinical workshops are 50-minute hands-on small-group demonstrations of examination and treatment of sports medicine problems. ACSM notes that space in the room is first come, first served.
Colloquia and tutorial lectures cover sports medicine, exercise science and clinical practice, from the basics of a subject to its current open questions.

Registration and exhibiting

Future meetings

The meeting moves each year: Denver (Colorado Convention Center) in 2028 and Nashville (Music City Center) in 2029, according to ACSM's future meetings page.
