Medical Design & Manufacturing West 2027

MD&M West is an event for medical device manufacturing, bringing together innovators, suppliers, and manufacturers in the medical technology sector.

MD&M West runs February 9–11, 2027, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

What it is

MD&M West is Informa Markets' West Coast manufacturing trade show. It was formerly called Informa Markets Engineering West. It covers five sectors on one floor:

• MedTech: medical device companies, from cardiovascular care to device manufacturing
• Automation: robotics, sensors, motion control and automated systems
• Design & Manufacturing: 3D printing, CAD/CAM software and testing equipment
• Plastics: injection molding, coatings and biocompatible polymers
• Packaging: form-fill-seal systems, labeling, barcoding and protective materials

It is aimed at design, project, packaging and plant engineers, owners and executives, R&D staff, production and operations staff, and quality professionals. The organizer lists 1,700+ exhibitors, 13,800+ verified attendees and visitors from 43 countries.

Expo hours

• Tuesday, February 9: 10am–5pm
• Wednesday, February 10: 10am–5pm
• Thursday, February 11: 10am–4pm

Hall E opens 30 minutes earlier, at 9:30am, each day. Registration is open from Sunday, February 7 through Thursday, February 11.

Badge pickup is at Hall E, and the organizer says the busiest times are 10am to noon on the first two days, so it recommends picking up your badge the day before. Conference and workshop hours are still to be announced.

Conferences vs. expo

Keynotes and show-floor theater sessions are included with an expo pass. The paid conference and workshop passes cover the MedTech Conference (three days of tracks in design, next-generation technology, compliance, cybersecurity, supply chain resilience and quality), the two-day Sustainable Manufacturing Conference, the two-day SPE/MPD MiniTec on medical plastics, the half-day MD&M West Leadership Summit, and hands-on workshops such as device risk management, sterilization, cybersecurity, and the IoPP Fundamentals of Medical Device Packaging course.

Admission rules

No one under 18 is allowed in the expo halls or conference rooms. The one exception is students 14 and older in the show's student programs, with permission.

There is no childcare on site. Only service dogs are admitted.
