Affair of the Heart, a brand first held in Oklahoma City in 1985, runs this summer arts, crafts and boutiques shopping show in Oklahoma City, open to the public. Artisans, crafters and independent retailers sell handmade goods there, and Marketplace Events has produced it since 2025.

What it is

Affair of the Heart is a public arts, crafts and boutiques shopping show, not a trade-only event. The organizer bills it as the largest show of its kind in Oklahoma. Over three days, artists, craftsmen and independent retailers sell one-of-a-kind and often handmade goods, from jewelry and handbags to furniture, clothing and gourmet foods.

The first Affair of the Heart show took place in Oklahoma City in 1985. In 2025 the founders and original owners retired and sold the company to Marketplace Events, which now produces the shows. At the 2026 summer show, the features included artisan vendors, fashion boutiques and artisan food vendors.

Visiting

The organizer's 2026 FAQ describes how visiting works:

• Tickets are sold at the gate (cash or card) and in advance online once sales open. Groups of 20 or more can buy discounted group tickets online.
• Discounts include a free-ticket promotion with Braum's and tickets for service members and veterans through Vet Tix.
• A hand stamp gives same-day re-entry. Return tickets for another day are limited and handed out at the exits.
• Pets are not allowed, except certified service animals.

Hours for 2027 had not been posted when checked. At the 2026 summer show, Friday and Saturday ran 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sunday was shorter, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

The organizer runs three shows a year in Oklahoma City and two in Tulsa. Besides this summer show, the calendar includes an OKC spring show, summer and fall shows in Tulsa, and Braum's Affair of the Heart in Oklahoma City on October 23–25, 2026.
