Arkansas Outdoor Expo 2027

The Arkansas Outdoor Expo is a consumer show in Fort Smith, Arkansas, for hunters, anglers, campers and other outdoor enthusiasts, with outdoor brands, demonstrations and education. It is the rebranded successor to the River Valley Adventure Expo, and its organizers aim to make it an annual event.

What it is

The Arkansas Outdoor Expo is a consumer show for outdoor enthusiasts, families and adventurers. It features outdoor brands, hands-on experiences, demonstrations and educational opportunities. The organizers say the show is attracting brands in hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking and off-road from inside and outside Arkansas, and that they are working with Discover Fort Smith to make it an annual date for the town.

The show began as the River Valley Adventure Expo, which first ran in April 2019 and stopped during Covid-19 in 2020–21. In January 2025 it was rebranded as the Arkansas Outdoor Expo.

Jason Baggett began the push to restore an annual outdoors event in the Fort Smith area in late 2024. He describes the goal as a multi-day, single-location event that he wants to grow into an annual date on the outdoors tradeshow circuit.

• Friday, January 15: doors 11:00am – 8:00pm
• Saturday, January 16: doors 10:00am – 8:00pm

The published schedule has time slots through both days, and the organizer says it will be updated as events are added.

Exhibitors and stays

Vendors go through an approval process. Exhibitor categories include apparel, camping, conservation, firearms and shooting sports, fishing, food and beverage, guides, hunting, marine, recreation, powersports, and travel and destination.

Wyndham Fort Smith City Center is the Premier Hotel Partner. Its expo guest rate has a guaranteed booking deadline of December 14, 2026, and the Courtyard Fort Smith Downtown offers an expo rate until December 17, 2026.
