Richmond Fishing Expo 2027

A public fishing-products expo held in January at Meadow Event Park, the State Fairgrounds of Virginia, near Richmond. It gathers tackle retailers, lure and rod makers, guides and marine dealers, with pro-angler seminars, and is produced by Southeast Productions, Inc.

Richmond Fishing Expo runs January 15–17, 2027 at Meadow Event Park, Doswell.

What it is

This is a public fishing-products show at Meadow Event Park, the State Fairgrounds of Virginia. Retail and specialty tackle shops bring stocked product. The most recent posted exhibitor list (2026) also included lure makers, custom rod builders, guide services, charters and regional marine dealers, along with food and other vendors.

National pro anglers are on hand all weekend to sign autographs and give seminars. The organizer is Southeast Productions, Inc. of Greensboro, NC, which runs boat shows, fishing expos and gift markets in North Carolina and Virginia.

Hours and tickets

• Friday: 10 AM – 7 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM
• Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM

Tickets are sold at the door or online, with an added processing fee online. There are reduced tickets for seniors, military and junior anglers. One ticket covers all three days: pick up a return pass before you leave.

Parking at Meadow Event Park is free. Only trained service animals are allowed, not pets or emotional-support animals. Two complimentary wheelchairs are available first come, first served at the service desk.

Seminars and features

The most recent posted seminar schedule (2026) ran four themed rooms:

• Bass Tub Seminar Series: bass pros demonstrate lures and techniques in a stocked tank from Bass Tubs of Oklahoma, presented by Adam Hinkle.
• Freshwater Seminars: crappie, catfish and sonar sessions.
• River Seminars: smallmouth fishing on Virginia rivers.
• Saltwater Seminars: speckled trout, Chesapeake rockfish, offshore bottom fishing and bluewater big game.

The Mountain Trout Pond Simulator lets visitors catch farm-raised rainbow and brown trout for a separate fee. Tagged fish must be released. Attendees can also enter vendor-sponsored prize drawings.

Southeast Productions lists another Doswell event for February 19–21, 2027, plus dates in Raleigh, Fayetteville and Greensboro, NC.
