Broadband Communities Summit runs July 20–22, 2027 at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston.

What it is

The summit brings together the people who plan, build, manage and finance the country's digital infrastructure: network operators, property developers, technology solution providers, and federal, state and local policymakers. It has its roots in the multifamily sector and now covers the wider real-estate spectrum, from commercial properties and single-dwelling units to community institutions and master-planned developments. Broadband Communities organizes it as part of Total Telecom.

The event has an exhibition floor, a strategic conference and the Broadband Communities Awards. In 2027 it is co-located with Connected America for the first time.

The conference is built around five themes:

• The Keynotes, on regulatory shifts, investment models and emerging technologies
• Multifamily: retrofits and new builds, Wi-Fi 7, proptech and building automation
• Communities, Institutions & Properties
• Finance & Frameworks: public and private capital, legal and partnership structures
• Networks & Infrastructure: permitting, civil works, subcontractor management and network design

Free tickets for qualifying attendees

A limited free-ticket program is open to certain US-based attendee profiles. These include public officials, multifamily owners and managers, student housing and assisted-living operators, internet service providers, electric co-ops, utilities, healthcare facilities, data center owners, non-profits, academia, and students or recent graduates. The pass covers the conference days, including pre-event workshops, plus the exhibition floor, the networking app and the awards reception.

Every free pass needs approval. Sales staff at ISPs that sell connectivity into the multifamily sector are not eligible and must register on a commercial vendor pass. Companies whose main business is managed Wi-Fi or PropTech services are also excluded.
