NARTC 2027

The North American Refining Technology Conference (NARTC) is the World Refining Association's Houston conference for the refining and petrochemical sectors. It brings refinery operators, process engineers, technology providers and policy experts together for keynotes, technical workshops and roundtables.

NARTC runs February 1–3, 2027 in Houston.

What it is

The North American Refining Technology Conference (NARTC) is run by the World Refining Association (WRA). It covers technology and strategy for the region's refining and petrochemical sectors. The organizer names refinery operators, technology providers and policy experts as its audience.

For 2027 it describes the event as "an intimate and interactive forum" for refinery process engineers and operations specialists to work through problems with decision-makers and technology providers. WRA runs sister refining conferences, ERTC and LARTC.

The 2027 program

The format mixes keynote addresses, panel discussions, technical workshops and interactive roundtables. Themes on the 2027 agenda snapshot include:

• volatility as the new normal: building geopolitical, trade and crude shifts into decisions
• best-in-class refining fundamentals
• AI value creation in day-to-day operations
• commercial sustainability and renewable fuel projects
• talent and change management
