BUILDEX Alberta is Informa Connect's conference and expo for Alberta's building industry, held each year for the people who design, build and manage the province's industrial, commercial, institutional and residential real estate: architects, engineers, contractors, interior designers, homebuilders, developers and property managers.

BUILDEX Alberta runs October 21–22, 2026 at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park, Calgary.

What it is

BUILDEX Alberta is a business-to-business conference and expo for the people who design, build and manage the province's industrial, commercial, institutional and residential buildings. Attendees include architects, engineers, general contractors and trades, interior designers, homebuilders and renovators, owners and developers, property managers and building operations staff.

The organizer calls it "Alberta's largest conference + expo for the built environment". Informa Connect runs the show, which it says has supported the province's design, construction and real-estate industries for more than 25 years.

Hours

• Wednesday, October 21: expo 9:30am–6:00pm, with the Industry Networking Reception from 4:30pm to 6:00pm; conference 8:30am–4:00pm
• Thursday, October 22: expo 9:30am–3:00pm (a shorter last day); conference 8:30am–4:00pm

Passes, credits and co-located events

• Passes come in several types. An Expo Hall Pass and an All Access Pass are offered, and group discounts apply to both. All attendees, whatever their pass, must pre-register for any sessions or demonstrations they want to attend.
• Selected sessions carry continuing education credit from the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA), BOMI and IDCEC. To get a certificate, have your badge scanned at the session door and complete the post-session survey.
• The Calgary Real Estate Forum is co-located at the same venue, and BUILDEX attendees get complimentary access to its closing roundtable and networking reception.
• Floor features include the SSRIA Smart Sustainable Tech Showcase on Wednesday and the Contech Showcase of local construction-technology firms on Thursday. A Public Sector Program, new in 2026, includes a lounge for public-sector badge holders.
