CMTS - Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show 2027

CMTS, the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show, is SME's Toronto trade show for machine tools, tooling, automation, robotics, additive manufacturing and smart factory technology. It pairs a show floor of suppliers and OEMs with keynotes, panels and hands-on tech sessions for Canadian manufacturers.

CMTS, the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show, runs September 27–30, 2027 at Toronto Congress Centre, Toronto.

What it is

The organizer calls CMTS "the national stage for manufacturing innovation." The floor covers machine tools, automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, digital transformation and smart factory solutions. Suppliers and OEMs show machine tools, tooling, metalworking and advanced manufacturing products. SME runs the show, and the show directory is now digital-only, published on the SME+ app along with the floor plan, education sessions and 1:1 meeting tools.

• Machine Tools & Tooling Pavilion: CNC machining, tooling and automation.
• Innovation Park: the RAPID + TCT Showcase for additive manufacturing and 3D printing, the Smart Manufacturing Experience for AI, automation, digital twins and IIoT, and the Discovery Zone.
• NGen Innovation Zone and the CTMA Manufacturing & Tooling Pavilion.
• Education: a Keynote Series, Executive Perspectives, panel discussions and hands-on Tech Hub sessions.

Hours, address and sibling shows

Hours for 2027 have not been posted. At CMTS 2025 the floor was open 10:00 AM–5:00 PM on the first two days and until 7:00 PM on the third day, and it closed at 3:00 PM on the last day.

The Toronto Congress Centre is at 650 Dixon Rd, Etobicoke. SME's western show, the Western Manufacturing Technology Show (WMTS), is held every two years in Edmonton and runs April 28–30, 2027 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre.
