Compound Conference 2027

Compound Conference (formerly HoldCo Conference) is a small, curated conference held each February at Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah for operators who grow through acquisition: multi-business owners, holdco operators, platform compounders doing bolt-on acquisitions, and executives inside family offices and PE-backed platforms. It is aimed at people who have been operating for three or more years.

Compound Conference runs February 8–11, 2027 at Sundance Mountain Resort in Sundance, Utah. The program starts on the evening of February 8 and ends on the morning of February 11.

What it is

Compound is a small, curated conference for business operators who are growing through acquisition: owners running several businesses, holding-company operators, and founders compounding one platform through bolt-on acquisitions and expansion. It also draws acquisition entrepreneurs who have already closed a deal, owners of trades and service businesses, and CEOs, COOs and GMs inside family offices and PE-backed platforms.

It was previously called HoldCo Conference; the organizer says it changed the name because the room always included single-platform compounders as well as holdco builders. It is hosted by Compound Events.

It is aimed at people who have been operating for at least three years. The organizer says plainly that it is not the right event for anyone still searching for a first acquisition or who has not yet run a business.

Format

• The organizer caps attendance at up to 150 people.
• Sessions and breakouts cover company structure, team building, capital allocation, M&A integration, ETA structures and using AI inside operating businesses, led by practitioners rather than consultants.
• Sponsors are deliberately limited so that the conversations stay operator to operator rather than vendor pitches.
• Attendees are encouraged to bring one specific problem, such as financing a next acquisition or integrating a bolt-on, and work on it over the three days.

Getting there and what the ticket covers

The ticket is all-inclusive: sessions, meals, three nights' lodging at the resort, a ski pass and rentals, parking and the evening events. Flights are not included. The nearest airports are Salt Lake City (about an hour by car) and Provo (about 33 minutes).

Spouse tickets are sold with full event access. Ticket holders also join a private attendee group before the event. Tickets can't be refunded in cash, but a ticket can be rolled over to the following year.
