PDAC Convention 2027

The PDAC Convention is the annual mineral exploration and mining convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, held in Toronto since 1932. It pairs a trade show and investors exchange with sessions, short courses and panels for mining executives, geologists, investors and governments.

PDAC Convention runs March 7–10, 2027 in Toronto.

What it is

The annual convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, billed by the organizer as "The World's Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention." The convention has run since 1932. PDAC says it draws "more than 32,000 attendees from over 140 countries" and hosts "more than 1,300 exhibitors and 800 presenters." Attendees include senior mining executives, geologists, investors, fund managers, brokers and analysts, government representatives and students. Exhibitors range from exploration and mining companies, drilling and lab services to geological surveys and governments promoting their mining jurisdictions.

Hours and layout

Short courses run on Friday and Saturday, March 5–6, before the exhibit halls open.

• Exhibits: Sunday–Tuesday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m.–noon
• Programming: Sunday–Tuesday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m.–noon

The convention is at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and some networking events are at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. There are two exhibit halls:

• Trade Show and Investors Exchange (Level 800), including the Core Shack and Prospectors Tent
• Trade Show North (Level 300), including Indigenous Artisans and the PDAC-SEG Student Minerals Colloquium

Registration

Registration opens in December 2026, and there is an early-rate deadline in February. Exhibit floor access comes with the All Access Pass (including student, senior and one-day versions), the VIP All Access Pass or an Exhibits Day Pass.

Short courses and the Awards Celebration are ticketed separately, and those tickets are closed from February 27 until onsite sales open on March 5. Programming covers 13 program areas featuring sessions, courses and panels.
