BIO CEO & Investor Conference 2027

The BIO Investment & Growth (BIG) Summit is the Biotechnology Innovation Organization's investor and business development meeting, which from 2026 took the place of the BIO CEO & Investor Conference. It brings biotech companies, investors and biopharma executives together for partnering meetings and company presentations.

What it is

The organizer's site for these dates brands the event as the BIO Investment & Growth (BIG) Summit, which it describes as "the new business development and investment event from BIO." BIO's FAQ explains that it now focuses its investor engagement on the BIG Summit rather than hosting the BIO CEO & Investor Conference and the BIO Investor Forum. The summit is run by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization and brings investors, biotech innovators and biopharma executives together for two days.

The program covers the financial landscape for life sciences and the regulatory and policy issues facing biotech companies. Attendees also get guidance on capital formation, commercialization, reimbursement and growth.

What happens there

• BIO Partnering meetings: registrations include access to the BIO Partnering system, which is used to find partners and request one-on-one meetings with investors and senior business development executives. Service provider registrations are the exception.
• Company presentations: companies can present their story to raise their profile at the meeting and in BIO Partnering.
• Program sessions: BIO policy and advocacy staff brief attendees on the regulatory landscape, and venture investors, crossover investors and bankers discuss the investment outlook.
• Deal discussions: attendees can pursue licensing and royalty discussions with global pharma teams and other capital providers.
