It runs alongside The Battery Show and has an expo floor, a multi-track conference and workshops for engineers, executives and buyers. It is run by Informa Markets.

Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo - North America runs October 12–15, 2026 at Huntington Place, Detroit.

What it is

EV Tech Expo runs together with The Battery Show in Detroit, and both are run by Informa Markets. Suppliers on the floor cover battery manufacturing, EV powertrains, thermal management, energy storage, testing, materials and charging infrastructure. The organizer lists its audience as engineers, executives, R&D specialists, manufacturing and quality professionals, and purchasing decision-makers.

Schedule

• Workshop: Monday, October 12, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
• Expo: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. It closes early on Thursday, October 15, at 3 p.m.
• Conference: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and Thursday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
• Executive Summit: Thursday, October 15, 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Battery Awards: Tuesday, October 13, 6:00–8:00 p.m.

No one under 18 is allowed in the expo halls or conference rooms.

Passes and program

Expo access and the conference are sold separately:

• An Explorer Pass covers the show floor.
• Conference passes come in All Access, 3-day, 2-day and 1-day versions.
• The Monday workshops can be bought on their own or added to any conference pass.
• The Executive Summit is a closed-door day for C-suite executives and senior industry leaders. It can be bought on its own or bundled with workshop or conference days.

The floor also has free programming. The Open Tech Forum is open to Explorer Pass holders, with no badge upgrade needed. There are also the Battery Tech Theater, 15-minute New Product Showcase demos at exhibitor booths, the BATT to the Future Zone and a Student Innovation Showcase in the Lobby.
