Electricity Transformation Canada 2026

Electricity Transformation Canada is an annual conference and exhibition for Canada's renewable energy and electricity sector, covering wind, solar, energy storage, grid modernization and hydrogen. It was developed by the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) with the Italian German Exhibition Group and RE+ Events.

Electricity Transformation Canada runs October 19–21, 2026 in Toronto.

What it is

Electricity Transformation Canada (ETC) brings together energy professionals from wind, solar, energy storage, grid modernization, hydrogen and related sectors. The Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) developed it, and it is run in partnership with the Italian German Exhibition Group and RE+ Events. The organizer names these sectors among the people who attend:

• power utilities and industrial energy systems
• municipalities and Indigenous organizations
• federal and provincial government representatives
• electricity retailers and exporters
• real estate and construction

The program includes plenary sessions, educational workshops and discussions on the show floor.

Passes and schedule

• Full Conference pass: covers all three days, including daily plenaries, concurrent education sessions, the Monday night welcome reception and a Tuesday night off-site reception at Little Canada.
• Expo Hall Only pass: covers Tuesday and Wednesday, the two days the hall is open.
• Reduced rates: there are rates for CanREA members, students, Indigenous communities and non-profits.
• Visa letters: only full conference registrants can get a visa invitation letter.
• Badge pickup: Monday, October 19, 7:30 am–6:00 pm; Tuesday, October 20, 7:00 am–6:00 pm; Wednesday, October 21, 8:00 am–4:00 pm. Bring government-issued ID.
• Age and dress: no one under 18 is allowed on the show floor or in education sessions. The dress code is business attire.

On the floor and getting around

The organizer runs these business pavilions:

• Indigenous, booked through CanREA
• Start-up, for young clean-energy companies

A free shuttle runs about every 30 minutes between the designated hotels, the venue and the Little Canada reception.
