Formnext 2027 in Frankfurt

Formnext 2027 runs 26–29 October 2027 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. That is earlier in the year than usual: the 2026 show is 17–20 November. Mesago Messe Frankfurt, the organiser, has published the dates; the 2027 hall plan and opening hours are not out yet.

What it is

Formnext is an expo and convention for industrial 3D printing and additive manufacturing (AM), run by Mesago Messe Frankfurt. Mesago describes its 2027 calendar entry as an “International exhibition and convention on the next generation of manufacturing technologies”. Alongside industrial 3D printers, the floor covers the whole process chain:

• materials;
• automation;
• software for design, planning and production optimisation;
• post-processing and quality assurance.

The convention side is a conference and supporting programme that runs for the whole of the trade show.

Planning notes

• Trade visitors. Opening hours are published for trade visitors. In 2026 the show opens 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday and closes at 4 p.m. on the Friday. The 2027 hours will be posted on the same dates-and-hours page.
• Where in the grounds. In 2026 Formnext used halls 11.0, 12.0 and 12.1 and the Portalhaus at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre.
• Tickets. Day passes and Expo Passes are sold through the Messe Frankfurt ticket shop, and early-bird rates end some weeks before the show.
• Other Formnext shows. Formnext Asia Shenzhen runs separately, in China.
