Global Travel Marketplace West runs August 29–31, 2027 in San Antonio, Texas.

What it is

GTM West is an appointment-only event run by Northstar Travel Media. It pairs top-producing travel advisors from the western United States and western Canada with global travel suppliers.

The organizer bills it as "an elite appointment-only event" built around face-to-face meetings and Boardroom sessions. Advisors attend by application, not open registration.

How it works

• Advisors apply. They go through a vetting and interview process and must meet a minimum annual sales threshold. They must also live in a qualifying western US state or Canadian province.
• Selected advisors are fully hosted. GTM covers airfare, three nights of hotel, airport transfers and the official meals. A non-refundable administrative processing fee is charged at registration.
• Appointments last 6 minutes with 2 minutes of transition between them, up to 52 over two days. They are booked in advance through online mutual selection.
• Boardrooms are 30-minute supplier presentations to small groups of advisors in hotel suites.
• The organizer stresses that it is not a FAM trip: advisors must attend every scheduled appointment. First-time attendees can apply to return the next year as Ambassadors; otherwise, advisors can attend GTM West or GTM North America only every other year.

Schedule notes

Advisors must register by 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, before orientation and the first Boardrooms. Monday and Tuesday are appointment days.

Tuesday ends with an advisors-only training and think-tank session and the closing reception. Business casual is recommended for appointments.
