Equip Exposition (with Hardscape North America) 2027

A regional trade show showcasing equipment and technologies for the heavy construction industry, offering training sessions and product demonstrations.

Equip Exposition 2027 in Louisville

Equip Exposition returns to Louisville, Kentucky, on October 19–22, 2027. The organiser has published the dates and city; the 2026 show was held at the Kentucky Exposition Center, and the 2027 venue has not yet been stated on the site.

What it is

Equip Exposition calls itself the international landscape, outdoor living and equipment exposition. It is owned and managed by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), the trade association for makers of outdoor power equipment, and is co-located with Hardscape North America. The organiser's audience is contractors, dealers, designers, arborists, manufacturers and industry creators, and Louisville has hosted the show for 42 years.

What sets it apart

• Outdoor demo yard. Equipment is tested outdoors as well as shown indoors; the organiser describes a 30-acre demo yard with side-by-side equipment comparisons.
• Education. Equip Academy, taught by contractors and industry experts, is an add-on to the show registration rather than included in it, with separate contractor and dealer education schedules.
• Age rules. The show floor and demo areas are open to ages 12 and up; operating demo equipment requires age 16 or over with a valid driver's licence.
• Evenings. In 2026 the evening events, including a welcome reception at Churchill Downs and concerts downtown, were included with registration.
• A short last day. In 2026 the first day carried no trade show, and on the final Friday the indoor floor closed at 2 p.m. and the outdoor demo at 1 p.m. Check the 2027 schedule when it is posted.

Future dates

The organiser lists Louisville again for October 17–20, 2028. From 2029 the show rotates between two cities, starting with Orlando on October 10–12, 2029.
