Interpets Tokyo 2027

What it is
Interpets is an international trade fair for the pet industry, for pet products and services. It started in 2011, and the organizers describe it as a "lifestyle-type pet event" that serves both trade (B2B) and consumer (B2C) visitors.
It is run by the Japan Pet Food Association, the Japan Pet Products Manufacturers Association and Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd. The organizers' preliminary figures for Interpets Tokyo 2026 were 633 exhibiting companies from 13 countries and regions, and 60,019 visitors. As of August 2026, the organizers reported that all exhibition space for the 2027 Tokyo fair was fully booked and that a waiting list was open.
Hours and admission
- Thursday–Saturday, April 1–3: 10:00–17:00
- Sunday, April 4 (last day): 10:00–16:30
All business visitors must register online. At reception, show a business card, or an employee ID if you don't have one. The business-only day is for trade professionals.
Private consumers, students, pets and anyone under 18 (including babies and infants) are not admitted that day. Public visitors need an admission ticket bought in advance, and wristbands allow re-entry.
Visiting with pets
Pets are welcome on public days, subject to the organizers' rules. Keep pets on a short leash and never leave them unattended. Some areas require pets to be fully covered in a carry case.
Pigs and boars, birds, wild animals, dogs without a rabies vaccination, and aggressive animals are not permitted. There are pet toilets in the halls, and owners must clean up after their animals. Photography is generally allowed, except where exhibitors or session areas prohibit it.
Sister fair
Interpets Osaka runs June 11–13, 2027 at INTEX Osaka, for visitors in Western Japan.
