What it is
LSI USA, also called the Emerging Medtech Summit, is Life Science Intelligence's US meeting for medtech innovation and investment. It brings together founders and executives from emerging medtech and healthtech companies with venture capital and private equity firms, family offices, investment banks, global strategics and service providers. Life Science Intelligence also runs LSI Europe in Barcelona and LSI Asia, and publishes medtech market research.
The program is built around dealmaking: startup presentations on stage, keynotes and panel sessions, off-the-record sessions, and 1:1 partnering meetings with investors and strategics. Startups apply to present, and a separate application covers exhibiting in private demo and partnering space.
Agenda at a glance
The organizer's schedule (times subject to change):
- Monday, March 15: registration and badge pick-up from 2:00 PM, early partnering 3:00–5:00 PM, opening reception and dinner 6:00–9:00 PM
- Tuesday, March 16 through Thursday, March 18: keynotes, panel sessions, presenting company pitches and partnering tables; Thursday closes with CEO and investor receptions, a closing reception open to all attendees and a farewell dinner
- Friday, March 19: annual golf outing, 7:30 AM–2:00 PM, RSVP required
Registration and travel
Registration covers all days of the event, all sessions, meals, networking receptions and the partnering platform. The partnering app opens one month before the event so attendees can connect with each other.
The organizer says it does not offer complimentary passes to presenters or panelists. LSI holds discounted room blocks at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach, The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel and the Residence Inn by Marriott Dana Point San Juan Capistrano, with a three-night minimum.
