CMA Shipping 2027

CMA Shipping is a North American maritime conference and supplier expo for ship owners, operators, managers and their suppliers. The Connecticut Maritime Association founded it in 1985, and Seatrade Maritime, part of Informa Markets, organizes it.

What it is

CMA Shipping is a three-day conference and supplier expo for commercial shipping and maritime professionals in North America. The Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA), a non-profit membership group, started it in 1985 as a luncheon for its members and guests.

The CMA presents the show, and Seatrade Maritime, part of Informa Markets, organizes it. The 2027 event is its 42nd.

The conference gives an overview of the maritime industry within global trade. The 2026 speakers included ship owners and operators, executives from the classification society ABS, and the head of the US Maritime Administration.

The Supplier Expo, described as home to more than 80 suppliers and service providers, covers technology, communications, environmental solutions, classification and finance. Official evening receptions run alongside the program.

• Tuesday, March 16: 12:00 – 18:00 (a half day, opening at noon)
• Wednesday, March 17: 09:00 – 18:00
• Thursday, March 18: 09:00 – 18:00

Passes

There are three ways to attend: a Conference Pass, a Networking Gold Card or an Expo Pass. The Expo Pass is free, but it does not cover the conference theater or the official CMA Shipping networking event. Those need one of the paid options.

Complimentary VIP passes are offered to C-suite executives of qualifying ship-owning, operating or managing companies, subject to eligibility. CMA members get a discount on the conference. Students can ask the event team about the Student Maritime Task Force.
