RoboBusiness is a conference and expo on the business of commercial robotics, first held in 2004. It serves founders, engineers, investors and operators with conference tracks and an expo floor, and is chaired by The Robot Report's executive editor.

RoboBusiness Leadership Summit runs October 20–21, 2026 at Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara.

What it is

RoboBusiness is a conference and expo on the business of commercial robotics. It first ran in 2004. Sessions come from experts in robotics and AI and cover research, industry trends and applications in manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, logistics and other sectors.

It is chaired by Steve Crowe, executive editor of The Robot Report. The robotics community it describes includes founders, engineers, investors and operators.

Conference tracks

• Physical AI: helping robots learn from sensor data and adapt to dynamic situations
• Enabling Technologies: motion control, vision and software
• Humanoids: designing and deploying humanoid robots for industrial applications
• Field Robotics: robots for outdoor applications
• Business & Deployment: investment, go-to-market, startup scaling and deployment

Expo floor hours and passes

• Tuesday, October 20: 10 AM – 6:30 PM
• Wednesday, October 21: 10 AM – 3 PM (short last day)

There are three pass types: Full Conference, Expo Only and Academic Student. A Full Conference pass covers all sessions and the expo floor. Expo Only passes still include the Engineering Theater, a stage on the floor for talks on technologies, applications and business models.

Full Conference and Student/Academic passes include post-show access to speaker presentations. Some extras, such as the Women in Robotics Luncheon, cost more and have limited space. Rates go up closer to the event, and you can register on site.

The floor also has a Startup Alley and a Startup Showcase stage.

No one under 18 is allowed in the expo halls or session rooms. There is no virtual option, and registration does not include meals.
