Wood Mackenzie's Solar & Energy Storage Summit is a long-running conference for solar and storage developers, IPPs and investors, built on Wood Mackenzie research. From 2027 it is expanding into the North American Power & Renewables Forum, adding utilities, conventional generation, data centers and other offtakers.

The Solar & Energy Storage Summit, now renamed the North American Power & Renewables Forum, runs April 28–29, 2027 at Omni Interlocken Hotel, Broomfield.

What it is

Wood Mackenzie's long-running summit for the solar and storage sectors is expanding. In 2027 it runs under a new name, the North American Power & Renewables Forum. The organizer says the Summit has spent 20 years as a gathering for developers, IPPs and investors.

The Forum keeps in-depth coverage of solar and storage markets but sets them in the wider context of North American and global power markets. It also brings in leaders from renewables, conventional generation, utilities, data centers, other commercial and industrial offtakers, and government. Sessions are built on Wood Mackenzie's own research, and sponsors can join panels or fireside chats with senior Wood Mackenzie analysts.

The 2027 agenda

Topics Wood Mackenzie lists for 2027 include:

• independence and security of American energy supply
• geopolitical volatility and its effect on power prices and technology supply chains
• Wood Mackenzie power outlooks for gas power, solar, energy storage, and clean baseload power such as nuclear and geothermal

• grid investment, from upgraded and expanded infrastructure to flexibility programs
