TEAMS Conference + Expo 2027
About TEAMS Conference + Expo
TEAMS (Travel, Events and Management in Sports) is an annual conference and appointment-based expo that connects sports-event organizers and rights holders with destinations, venues, hotels and suppliers. It is presented by SportsTravel and run by Northstar Travel Group, and the host city changes each year.
TEAMS Conference + Expo 2027
TEAMS Conference + Expo 2027 runs October 18–21, 2027 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, hosted by Sports Milwaukee. The organizer has published the dates and host city; the venue and schedule had not been announced when this page was checked. The 2026 conference was in Birmingham, Alabama.
What it is
TEAMS stands for Travel, Events and Management in Sports. It is a conference and expo for the sports-event industry, presented by SportsTravel and run by Northstar Meetings Group, and it moves to a different host city each year. Launched in 1998, it brings together CEOs, executive directors and event managers from sports organizations with sports commissions, convention bureaus, corporate sponsors, event suppliers and hospitality companies.
How it works
TEAMS is an appointment-based trade show. Sports-event organizers book one-on-one appointments with destinations, hotels, venues and suppliers through an Appointment Request Portal; for the 2026 conference it opened on September 30, about four weeks before the show.
Alongside the appointments there is an exhibit floor, education sessions led by industry experts, and social functions for networking. Attendees can also take part in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic SportsLink program, which is designed to build relationships between destinations and the Olympic and Paralympic Movement.
