ShowSpan, Inc. bills this as "Michigan's largest pure-fishing show." It is a consumer show where the public shops fishing tackle, including specialty baits the organizer says are only sold at the show. Visitors can also:

• compare fishing boats and engines from Michigan dealers
• meet outfitters, lodges, resorts, charter captains and guides

ShowSpan also produces the Ultimate Hunting Show - Detroit and Ultimate Sport Shows in Grand Rapids and Pittsburgh.

Hours

The opening days start late, so plan around them:

• Thursday, January 7: 1 PM – 8 PM
• Friday, January 8: noon – 8 PM
• Saturday, January 9: 10 AM – 8 PM
• Sunday, January 10: 10 AM – 5 PM

On-site parking is paid, and buying parking on site is cash only; you can also buy parking online in advance.

Features (as run in 2026)

The organizer has not posted the 2027 feature lineup yet. Its features page still describes the 2026 show, which included:

• Lake Ultimate, an indoor lake where pros give seminars from rigged boats
• the Hawg Trough mobile fish tank
• an Ice Fishing Village and a Shanty Truckload Sale
• a fly fishing area with free casting lessons and a fly tyers corner, with the Michigan Fly Fishing Club
• a trout pond run by the Michigan Bass Busters
• antique tackle appraisals
• a Shore Lunch fish fry

In 2026, the Ultimate Bass Clinic carried its own fee on top of show admission, and the Ultimate Walleye Clinic used free tickets handed out at a sign-up booth.
