AMPP Annual Conference + Expo 2027

AMPP Annual Conference + Expo is the yearly meeting of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance, pairing a technical program on corrosion and protective coatings with an exhibit hall that AMPP bills as the world's largest corrosion and coatings tradeshow. It moves between US host cities.

AMPP Annual Conference + Expo runs April 11–15, 2027 in Columbus, Ohio.

What it is

This is the annual meeting of AMPP, the Association for Materials Protection and Performance, and it brings together the corrosion and coatings community for a week of technical sessions and an exhibit hall. AMPP describes the 2027 meeting as offering 600+ hours of technical content, and it bills the expo side as the world's largest corrosion and coatings tradeshow.

The 2027 meeting is the first time it has been held in Columbus. The following year it moves to San Antonio, Texas, for March 5–9, 2028.

Technical program

The program is built from several formats:

• peer-reviewed technical papers on coatings and corrosion
• presentation-only sessions
• Research in Progress Symposia
• a student poster session
• Research Topical Symposia

Exhibit hall hours

The exhibit hall opens in the evening, after the conference has already begun:

• Monday, April 12: 5–7:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, April 13: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 14: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Nothing is on the floor Thursday, which is teardown. Onsite registration opens early, from 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 10.

Registration

You can register for the full conference, for one day or for two days, and there is an exhibit-hall-only option. The student rate requires a current AMPP Student Membership, and AMPP members pay less than non-members.

Advance registration closes on February 28. There is also a guest program registration, which covers social activities and the exhibit hall, and guest tours of local sights can be booked separately.
