What it is

This is a one-day conference for Canada's multi-residential real estate sector, billed by its organizer as "Canada's #1 multi-residential real estate event." Informa Connect runs it. The audience includes building owners, developers and investors, property and facility managers, asset and fund managers, government officials and leaders from financial institutions. An advisory council helps shape the program.

The 2026 agenda opened with plenaries on the economic outlook and capital markets, then split into concurrent breakout series on regional markets, marketing, construction-cost management, debt financing, affordable housing and AI in real estate operations. The 2027 agenda had not been posted as of this writing.

Meetings and networking

• Meet the Expert is a curated meetings program. It matches building owners, developers, investors, lenders, brokers and REITs with subject-matter experts for 10-minute meetings. In 2026 the meetings were held in small groups, and the limited places went first come, first served.
• The day also has dedicated networking breaks, an event app and an end-of-day cocktail reception.

Continuing education credits

Attending can earn professional development credits. For 2027, the organizer says it will apply to BOMI International, the Law Society of Ontario, Mortgage Professionals Canada and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. You request an attendance certificate while registering.

It carries an administrative fee, which is waived for REF Club members, speakers and people on sponsor-allocated registrations. Anyone not present for the entire event loses the right to a certificate.

Getting there

The North Building is at 255 Front St W. Two large parking garages connect directly to the convention center. UP Express runs from Toronto Pearson Airport to Union Station, a short walk away.
