What it is

The organizer bills this as "Canada's largest convenience, forecourt & car wash event". It is a two-day conference, trade show and networking event for retailers, operators, distributors and decision makers in those three sectors. Exhibitors include manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers selling into c-stores, gas forecourts and car washes, and the organizer describes the show as the gateway to the Canadian market for confection, beverage and grab-and-go snacks.

How the days run

• Mornings: the C-Store IQ / Convenience U conference and Canadian Carwash Association education sessions start at 8 a.m., with separate tracks for convenience, forecourt and car wash operators. Breakfast and lunch are included for those registered for the morning sessions.
• Afternoons: the trade show floor is open from noon to 5 p.m. on both days.

The floor includes Beverage Alcohol Alley and a Product Showcase, and the Future Leaders in Convenience + Car Wash Awards are presented during the show.

Admission notes

• Retailers who qualify attend free. Registration can cover the morning education sessions and the trade show together, and one-day packages are available.
• Everyone must be 19 or older to enter the education sessions or the trade show floor.
• Parking at the Toronto Congress Centre (650 Dixon Rd, Etobicoke) is free, and a coat check is available, but no luggage storage. No hotel room blocks had been reserved when this was checked.
• The organizer warns that third-party sellers offering attendee lists are not affiliated with the show.
