Destination West 2027

Destination West runs May 16–18, 2027 at the Grand Hyatt Vail Resort & Spa in Vail, Colorado. Northstar Meetings Group calls it the hosted-buyer event "for qualified meetings and incentive professionals sourcing programs in the West."

What it is

The event is hosted by Northstar Meetings Group's brands Successful Meetings, Meetings & Conventions and Incentive magazine. Qualified buyers are fully hosted, including an airfare allowance, accommodation, meals and planned activities. Selected planners get two-and-a-half days of pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings with suppliers from the Western U.S., educational presentations, an opening reception and networking.

The organiser's 2026 exhibitor list shows the kind of supplier on the floor: Western tourism offices such as Visit Denver, Tourism Santa Fe and the San Diego Tourism Authority, mountain resorts such as Vail Resorts and Snowmass Tourism, and Las Vegas hotel groups.

The format

Northstar's published agenda runs over three days:

• Day 1: check-in, registration, optional supplier tabletop set-up, a site inspection of the host hotel for planners, and a welcome reception.
• Day 2: a general session, morning and afternoon appointment blocks, lunch with a site tour, and dinner.
• Day 3: an educational session, a final round of appointments, lunch and departures after 2pm.
