About DreamHack
Digital festival and computer festival with multiple annual events, featuring esports tournaments and gaming exhibitions.
DreamHack Birmingham 2027
DreamHack Birmingham runs April 2–4, 2027 at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. It is the festival's second year in the city, after its UK debut at the NEC in 2026.
What it is
DreamHack is a gaming festival run by ESL FACEIT Group, combining esports, an expo, creators and cosplay over a weekend. The organiser describes the Birmingham event as including cosplay competitions, indie games, music and creator showcases. Its other upcoming festival is DreamHack Stockholm (November 27–29, 2026).
Esports
- Call of Duty League Major II. The CDL Pro-Am Major II and a Challengers Open are part of DreamHack Birmingham, played on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Major II brings the top four Challengers teams in to compete against the 12 CDL Pro teams, with qualifiers played online beforehand.
- Team passes for the Challengers Open go on sale closer to the event.
On the floor
- Expo where brands and exhibitors show gaming gear and products.
- Creator Hub and Meet & Greet sessions with creators, esports players, voice actors and celebrities.
- Cosplay competition, an Artist Alley and an Indies area for new games.
- PC Freeplay, an Arcade Area and a TCG Area with trading card game tournaments.
- DreamHack Quest, which turns the festival into a real-life game with quests for XP and rewards, plus the DreamHack Stage and a Community Stage.
Many of these areas are marked "coming soon" on the organiser's page, so line-ups are still to be announced. Hotels and accessibility information are on the Birmingham site.
