What it is

The Makeup Show NYC is a two-day beauty event combining education, pro-discount shopping and networking. It is aimed at makeup artists, hairstylists, cosmetologists, estheticians and beauty students, but beauty enthusiasts can attend too, so it is not trade-only.

The exhibit floor mixes indie, pro and prestige brands selling makeup, skincare, haircare, hair tools, makeup tools and lashes. Many exhibitors offer pro pricing or show-only specials, and most let you swatch and test products before you buy.

Hours and tickets

• Sunday, May 2: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Monday, May 3: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

One-day and two-day tickets are available. Advance tickets cost less than standard tickets until May 1.

A show ticket includes the show floor, the Main Stage, the Seminar and Demo stages, and the International Stage. Some programs are sold separately as add-ons:

• Business of Beauty sessions
• the Artists United masterclass (Sunday, May 2)
• The Beauty Mixer on Saturday, May 1, 2027, the day before the show

Students get a reduced rate but must show proof of enrollment at the door. Group rates apply to groups of 15 or more. Members of union Locals 798 and 706 attend free with a valid union card, after RSVPing by email.

The organizer also lists iArtist 9.0 on May 1, 2027, the day before the show opens. The education schedule on the organizer's site is updated weekly, and many sessions were still listed as "speaker to be announced."
