World Dairy Expo returns to the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin, on September 28 – October 1, 2027. The organiser's theme for 2027 is "Diamond Days of Dairy". Its published future dates run on to 2028, when the show is set for October 3–6.

What it is

World Dairy Expo is an annual event for the global dairy industry that combines a dairy cattle show with a trade show, education seminars and youth programmes. The dairy cattle show is held in the New Holland Pavilions and Cattle Tents, on the colored shavings the show is known for, and the cattle show schedule starts before the trade show opens.

The trade show

• Spread across the campus. The organiser says the trade show covers four locations over the 164-acre campus, and publishes maps to help plan a route.
• Searchable exhibitor list. Participating companies can be searched by company, keyword, category or product, and the listings stay available year-round.
• Knowledge Nook. Inventors, innovators and researchers present products and services that are new to the market.
• Mobile app. The event app puts events, animals and exhibitors in one place.

Education

The organiser runs educational seminars through the week in several formats, from expert presentations to producer-to-producer sessions.
