IBTM Americas is RX Global's trade show for the meetings and events industry in the Americas. Planners, corporates and associations meet destinations, hotels, venues and event suppliers there, and a Hosted Buyer program sets up one-on-one appointments.

IBTM Americas runs August 18–19, 2027 at Centro Banamex, Mexico City.

What it is

IBTM Americas is RX Global's show for the meetings and events industry in the Americas. For two days the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) value chain comes together in one place: event planners, corporates, associations, destinations, hotels and specialized suppliers. It is part of RX's portfolio of meetings and events industry shows.

The organizer groups what the show offers into three areas:

• Destinations and venues: tourism boards, hotels, resorts, venues and convention centers.
• Solutions and services: event technology, production, design, transportation, logistics, DMCs and specialized agencies.
• Knowledge and connections: conferences, networking and meetings between suppliers and decision-makers.

Visitors are the people who plan, organize and run events: corporate and congress organizers, association meeting teams, corporate incentive and brand-experience teams, agencies and DMCs, and MICE tourism professionals.

Hosted Buyer program

A selection committee reviews and chooses senior decision-makers who buy services for events, congresses, conventions and incentive trips. Applicants are assessed on their purchasing authority, how many international meetings they run each year, their annual event budget and, if they have attended before, whether they kept their scheduled appointments.

Selected buyers get round-trip travel, two nights' accommodation and an individual schedule of one-on-one supplier meetings. A post-show fam trip may also be offered, subject to availability.

Visiting

For 2027 the organizer lists show hours of 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The site is available in English and Spanish, and visitors pre-register online. At the 2026 show, education ran on several stages, including the IBTM Americas Stage and the RX Trends Forum. Most sessions were open to all attendees, a few were by invitation only, and some RX Trends Forum sessions required a paid ticket.
