What it is

Plastics Meetings Mexico is a business convention for plastics and advanced materials, built around one-to-one meetings that are scheduled before the event. Plastics manufacturers and advanced-materials suppliers from four sectors meet in these sessions: automotive, medical devices, electronic equipment and home appliances. The organizer frames it as a platform for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to find companies with the right capabilities through a matchmaking program.

Attendance is strictly reserved for professionals in the plastics and advanced materials industry. It is run by abe (advanced business events), and 2027 is the fourth time it has been held.

How the two days run

• July 7: registration from 8:00 AM and official opening at 8:45 AM, then B2B meetings and conferences in morning and afternoon blocks around a business lunch. The day closes with a networking cocktail from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.
• July 8: the same pattern of meetings, keynotes and workshops around lunch, with the event closing at 6:00 PM, when exhibitors remove material from their stands.

Beyond the meetings

The program adds conferences on trends and current practice in plastics and advanced materials, plus open networking spaces. A dedicated start-up zone gives young, independent companies exhibition space to show their technological innovations to SMEs and large companies.
