About Silicone Expo USA

Silicone Expo USA is the North American trade show for silicone materials and their processing, held as part of Materials Week USA with The Magnetics Show USA, The Gasket & Seals Show, Tape & Functional Film Expo, High Performance Alloys Expo and Speciality Polymers World. Its European counterpart, Silicone Expo Europe, runs within Materials Week Europe at RAI Amsterdam.

Silicone Expo USA 2027 in Detroit

Silicone Expo USA runs October 26–28, 2027 at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan, as one of the co-located exhibitions of Materials Week USA. Floor hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first two days, and the third day closes early, at 4 p.m.

Moved from 2026

The show was due to run October 27–29, 2026. On September 4, 2026 the organiser, OmniChain Nexus Ltd, announced that Materials Week USA would be deferred and that "the 2026 edition will not take place", citing the US-Iran war, the resulting rise in oil and fuel prices, US tariff uncertainty and tighter US visa rules. It says existing exhibitor bookings carry forward to 2027 with the same booth size and floorplan position.

What it is

Silicone Expo USA is the silicone-materials exhibition within Materials Week USA, a portfolio of specialist, co-located shows that connects material suppliers and technology providers with buyers, engineers, Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs. The organiser lists automotive, medical, electronics, consumer products and construction among the industries attending.

For 2027 the organiser is expanding Materials Week USA from six to ten exhibitions. Silicone Expo USA sits alongside The Magnetics Show USA, The Gasket & Seals Show, Tape & Functional Film Expo, High Performance Alloys Expo and Speciality Polymers World, plus four new events: M-Tech LIVE, MatMach Live, FoamConnect and CeramicSupply.

The conference

A three-day conference on two stages runs with the exhibition, with a different theme each day:

Day 1 – materials R&D, innovation, strategy and market analysis.
Day 2 – manufacturing and processing, for operators, engineers and process specialists.
Day 3 – a Buyers Forum, where Tier 1 OEMs and Tier 2 suppliers set out sourcing priorities and future demand.
