Bakery Showcase 2027

Bakery Showcase is the Baking Association of Canada and Bakers Journal's two-day business-to-business baking trade show. Suppliers of ingredients, equipment and services meet retail, wholesale, commercial and in-store bakeries, food service, restaurants and grocery buyers. The show rotates between Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Bakery Showcase 2027

Bakery Showcase runs April 25–26, 2027 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver. The venue is at 1055 Canada Place, next to Jack Poole Plaza, and the show is presented by Bakers Journal and the Baking Association of Canada (BAC).

What it is

The organisers call Bakery Showcase "Canada's ONLY Business-to-Business Baking event": a two-day trade show and marketplace where suppliers to the baking and food industry meet bakeries and cafés of every size. That covers small retail, in-store, large commercial production and wholesale bakeries, plus buyers and owners of baked goods and baking equipment for food service, restaurants, cafés and grocery stores.

On the show floor

Exhibitors show baking ingredients (flours, mixes, cake decorations, yeast), baking equipment (ovens, mixers, sheeters, processing and packaging machines), services and technology. They also show baked goods: fresh, proof-and-bake, par-baked, freezer-to-oven, and thaw-and-serve. Exhibit space is booked through the organiser's 2027 exhibit application.

Education, demonstrations and competitions

The programme includes education sessions on running a bakery business, baking-industry trends and technical topics. Listed topics include social media marketing for bakeries and current trends in baking. The Vancouver show has demonstrations by bakers that focus on B.C. ingredients, products and culture, and a Pizza Summit with demonstrations and a Chef of the Year competition.

The Bakery Cup of Canada, BAC's national competition in baguettes, croissants, viennoiserie, specialty breads and artistic showpieces, takes place at the show. The organiser says the full 2027 conference schedule will be published in the fall, so daily hours are not out yet.

Who attends

Attendees come from retail, wholesale, commercial and in-store bakeries, grocery, pizzerias, restaurants and food-service outlets. BAC members get discounted access to the show.

A show that moves

Bakery Showcase rotates between Canadian cities. It was in Montreal in 2026 and Toronto in 2025, and was last in Vancouver in 2023. Registration for 2027 is listed as coming soon.
