The Military Aviation Logistics & Maintenance Symposium (MALMS) is Aviation Week Network's annual meeting of U.S. military, defense industry and commercial aviation professionals on military aircraft maintenance, logistics and sustainment, co-located with MRO Americas.

The Military Aviation Logistics & Maintenance Symposium (MALMS) runs April 13–15, 2027 in Orlando.

What it is

MALMS is an annual symposium from Aviation Week Network, part of Informa Markets. It brings military, aerospace and commercial aviation professionals together to work through military aircraft maintenance, logistics and sustainment. The program's stated focus is readiness: getting logistics requirements and acquisition updates directly from leaders across the U.S. military branches and the Department of War, and finding commercially mature technologies that could speed up DoW logistics and sustainment modernization.

The organizer lists the audience as active-duty personnel from all branches, DoW civilians, major defense contractors and suppliers, federal research professionals, commercial aircraft OEMs and MROs, and academia.

Co-located with MRO Americas

MALMS runs alongside MRO Americas. The organizer frames the pairing as a chance for the military to network with the commercial aviation industry to develop partnerships, mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities and strengthen the organic industrial base.

Military maintainers can walk the co-located MRO Americas exhibition to meet suppliers and commercial aircraft maintainers. MRO Americas also hosts a Military Pavilion, an area of exhibitors serving the U.S. military that is set up for knowledge exchange between military and commercial aviation professionals.
