The International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference & Exhibition, known as The Powder Show, is Informa Markets' Rosemont (Chicago) event for powder and bulk solids handling and dry processing, pairing a free expo of equipment suppliers with a two-day technical conference for process engineers and plant executives.

International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference & Exhibition runs April 27–29, 2027 at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont.

What it is

Also known as "The Powder Show" (iPBS), this event serves the powder and bulk solids handling and dry processing sector. The organizer describes that sector as OEMs, process engineers and executives, and bills the show as the only event in the Western Hemisphere to bring it together. Exhibitors demonstrate powder manufacturing and bulk material handling equipment.

Visitors come from agriculture, food and beverage, plastics and chemicals, pharmaceuticals and CPG, building materials, animal feed and pet food, energy and aerospace. Their roles range from plant owners and executives to process, safety and maintenance engineers. Informa Markets organizes the show.

Expo vs. conference

• Expo (free): April 27–28, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., and a shorter last day on Thursday, April 29, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Free sessions on pneumatic conveying, storage, feeding and related topics run on the floor's stages and theaters.
• Conference: two days only, Tuesday–Wednesday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. It is a technical-training program built on fundamentals and advanced tracks. The 2025 tracks covered storage, retrieval and logistics; dust control and safety; conveying and feeding; fundamentals; and processing and quality. Each conference day has an extended lunch hour for walking the show floor with your conference group, and each ends with Speakers' Corner, where attendees get one-on-one time with track leaders.

Getting there

The venue has two public parking garages, linked by the enclosed Rosemont Skybridge to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Hilton Rosemont and DoubleTree. O'Hare is about 2 miles away, and onPeak is the only authorized hotel provider. The organizer warns exhibitors about hotel-booking scams from unauthorized companies.
